Russia’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Describes Statements About World Hunger Due to Russia: False

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrei Razin denied accusations of impending world famine caused by Russia, which the official called these accusations false and stressed that Russia is a reliable partner.

Responding to a question about statements accusing Russia of causing imminent world famine, Russia’s deputy agriculture minister said on Friday: “As you know, we have a lot of stories and lies that are often used. This is another attempt to blame Russia and distort (distort) the image. Objectivity (Russia) surrounds us. ”

The official noted that Russia “is doing everything in its power to ensure the stability of the food situation not only in Russia, but also in foreign markets.”

After the West imposed sanctions on Russia for its military operation in Ukraine, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev warned of the consequences of the sanctions, saying they would lead to a full -blown international food crisis that there is a possibility of famine in some countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also pointed out that Russia’s policy of restraint and weakening is a long-term strategy for the West, emphasizing that Western sanctions have dealt a severe blow to the entire global economy.
