European Union leaders will consider the issue of confiscation of Russian assets for Ukraine at a summit in Brussels on May 30-31, 2022.
In the face of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Western countries have imposed sanctions on Russia, affecting individuals, companies and sectors of the economy, where the assets of Russian businessmen and part of Russia’s international reserves are frozen.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Western countries not to seize Russia’s property abroad, saying “stealing other people’s property never leads to good.”
