The spokesman for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, stressed that the West, with its actions, is pushing Russia towards an “artificial default”, where in reality there are no real reasons for in bankruptcy.
The official statement came in response to a question about the matter being threatened at a press conference held by Peskov today, Wednesday, where he told reporters: “The West is already pushing Russia towards non -compliance. But here we must always point out that this is an artificial default, because there are no objective reasons for the default payment of Russia.
Peskov asked journalists to consult with the Russian Ministry of Finance about the mechanism that Russia will follow to pay its international obligations, saying: “Regarding the payment mechanisms, it is better to ask the Russian Ministry of Finance of a question. ”
Earlier, on June 3, the European Union included in the sixth package of sanctions against Russia the National Settlement Center (NSD), which is used to manage securities, including Russian government bonds.
