Most voters believe the Biden administration has allowed gas prices to rise to force Americans to use less fossil fuels, according to a States Convention Action/Trafalgar Group poll released Friday.
The poll asked, “Do you think the Biden administration has deliberately allowed gas prices to rise to get Americans to use less fossil fuels?” it is asked.
The majority, 53 percent, said yes, believing that the Biden administration deliberately allowed this to happen to force Americans to use less fossil fuels. However, 39.6% do not believe it and 7.4% are not sure.
Opinions were divided along party lines. More than three-quarters of Republicans, 77.3% and 56.5% of independents believe the Biden administration has deliberately allowed gas prices to rise for this purpose. Most Democrats, 68.7 percent, disagree and do not believe the administration is doing it.
