Production in construction increased, in April, by 3% in the euro zone and in the European Union (EU) compared to the same month in 2021, Eurostat reports this Monday.
In the comparison with March, according to the European statistical service, the indicator fell 1.1% in the eurozone and 1.2% in the EU.
The largest year-on-year increases were observed in Italy (16.9%), Poland (11.6%) and Slovenia (7.7%) and the main decreases in Romania (-8.1%), Spain (-3.8 %) and in Slovakia (-2.5%).
Regarding the monthly variation, Slovenia (-7.4%), Hungary (-5.9%) and Poland (-5.1%) show the greatest decreases and France (1.2%), Finland (0. 9%) and Spain (0.2%) the only ones increases
In Portugal, the production in construction increased by 1.1% year-on-year in April and fell by 1.2% compared to March.
