The Bank of Portugal (BdP) warned this Monday that the entity UNI Finanças is not authorized to grant credit.
In a statement, the BdP “warns that the credit services advertised on the ‘Facebook’ social network through the link https://www.facebook.com/UNI-Financas-109779814783073, do not belong to any entity that is authorized to exercise, in Portugal, the activity of granting credit or any other financial activity reserved for institutions subject to to the supervision of the Bank of Portugal“.
The supervisor recalls that the activity of granting credit, “provided for in subparagraph 1 b) of article 4 of the General Regime of Credit Establishments and Financial Companies (approved by Decree-Law No. December 31), is reserved for entities authorized to exercise them” and remember that the list of entities authorized to grant credit can be consulted in their ‘place’.
