The Portuguese platform Exclusible will sell land for Madeira’s “digital twin”

Madalia World is the name of the virtual world that created a “digital twin” of Madeira, which has even been recognized by the Regional Government of Madeira as an example of a metaverse. This is one of the great trends in the technological world, where digital worlds are created, which may or may not be inspired by reality. The fact that a digital world like Madalia is recognized by a government, in this case regional, is also a first.

Exclusible is a platform based in Portugal, which started with luxury NFTs (non-fungible assets), but quickly realized the potential of real estate in the metaverse. Through the Exclusible platform it is possible to buy properties in the metaverse and even private islands.

In a statement, Exclusible announces that, starting this Wednesday, it will also start selling parts of this Madalia World digital world, which tries to accurately represent not only the size of Madeira but also some of the real places on the island. Exclusive explains that “will sell 500 land that make up Madalia World and that differ in size and exclusivity”.

The virtual properties will be sold on the Exclusible platform, in NFT format, in a collection called the “Pioneers Collection”.

The company explains that there are different orders of value in these lands, where it can be “built” virtually. The acquisition of the quotas is done through cryptocurrencies, in this case through Ethereum (ETH). The most numerous plots are those of two thousand square meters (233), with a value of 1 ETH. They are followed by the one-hectare plots, with 144 available, each at 5 ETH, an amount that is around 6,761 euros at the time of writing this report. The largest virtual properties of three and nine hectares are the most expensive: one of the 89 plots of three hectares costs 13 ETH, about 17,580 euros, and plots of nine hectares scale up to 28 ETH, exceeding 37,860 euros.

Exclusible argues that, through the acquisition of these plots, “there are opportunities that do not exist in the physical world, such as construction in protected areas certified by UNESCO” or the possibility of using “construction kits applicable to virtual land” , for instance. As with regular real-world properties, these virtual plots can also be sold or even leased to other users.

“With the launch of Madalia, we have increased our presence in the real estate and luxury market segment, and we will continue to understand where the Web3 community wants to be and what experiences they are looking for,” explains Thibault Launay, CEO of Exclusible, quoted in a statement. .

Specifically with projects facing the metaverse -private islands, the Sandbox or penthouses on the Spatial platform-, Exclusible indicates that “it has already generated more than five million euros in projects applied exclusively to the metaverse”.

Let’s go back to the metaverse. Who wants to set trends in a digital world where luxury and fashion houses are already being bought?
