Nuno Melo appeals to common sense and says that everyone has to give in OE2025

The president of the CDS-PP today appealed to common sense in the negotiations on the State Budget for 2025 (OE2025), which for Nuno Melo means that “everyone must give in, without forgetting the will of the electorate.”

“A compromise is desirable so that the country has a budget, so that the country has stability. But there must be common sense, which means that everyone must give in, without forgetting the will of the electorate,” said Nuno Melo in Ponte de Lima, during the party’s political “comeback.”

Nuno Melo said that the PSD/CDS-PP government “has already shown that it is open to negotiation” and appealed to “the opposition’s sense of responsibility” because “the Portuguese are tired of elections and want stability, and this means approving the State Budget,” he said before more than 500 people who attended the party’s ‘rentrée’, which lasted more than two hours.
