On HBO’s Real Time Friday, host Bill Maher said he thought it “will help a little” if we “eliminated semi-automatic rifles”, but also mocked President Joe Biden’s speech calling for restrictions on certain guns. As Biden said, “From now on, if you get caught with the wrong gun that’s killing people, you’re in big trouble.”
Maher said, “So Biden, you see? Last night, President Biden gave a big speech on gun control. … I want to watch it, but the other 300 channels are broadcasting a movie where a man looks cool shooting people. But again, Biden said let’s get rid of semi-automatic rifles, so let’s do it. “Yeah, I think that would help a little. And when you get shot… He said that from now on you’re going to have a big problem if you get caught with the wrong gun to kill people.”
