Matthew McConaughey, who enthusiastically called for a new gun control law in a speech at the White House on Tuesday, has used 18 guns in 11 films in 25 years, according to the Internet Movie Firearms Database.

The database mentions that McConaughey used the following weapons in the following movies:

He also used a few guns on television such as the Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol, the AKM assault rifle, and the SIG-Sauer P226 semi-automatic pistol. TRUE Detective is a series that also lists him as executive producer.
McConaughey was clearly affected by the death toll in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas, last month when an 18-year-old killed 19 children and two elementary school teachers in one shooting.
Despite supporting various gun control measures, McConaughey did not call for more attention to the depiction of guns in Hollywood movies or video games in Silicon Valley.
