LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say Britney Spears’ ex-husband has left the Southern California wedding venue.
Ventura County Sheriff Captain Cameron Henderson said officers responded to the intrusion call after 2 p.m. Thursday. According to him, the first wife of the pop singer, Jason Alexander, was imprisoned on the parade ground.
Henderson said Alexander was arrested after officers noticed that he had an arrest warrant in another county.
Alexander went live on Instagram as the event approached security. In an almost empty but decorated room, she says Spears invited her.
“She was my first wife, my only wife,” said Alexander, who briefly married his childhood friend Spears in 2014. Their marriage only lasted 55 hours.
“I was his first wife,” he continued in the video. “I’m here to spoil the wedding.”
Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom they have two sons aged 14 and 15.
Spears and her fiancee, Sam Asghari, reportedly got married on Thursday. The couple announced their engagement almost nine months ago after Asghari proposed a four-carat diamond ring.
The couple met on the set of the video Slumber Party in 2016.
A representative for Spears did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Authorities continue to investigate the reported attack.
