A New York fashion company is suing supermodel Hailey Bieber for using her brand to launch her new skincare line, Rhode.

The founders of the fashion company, Purna Khatu and Phoebe Vickers, said they launched their company in May 2013.
“We had to file a lawsuit against Hailey Bieber and her new skincare line launched last week that uses the Rhode brand,” the owners of Rhode Clothing Company wrote in a statement. “We only have the Rhode brand that we built, which is why we didn’t sell our brand when I asked four years ago, your use of our brand is detrimental to our company, our employees, our customers and our partners,” the statement continued.
And Bieber had justified his adoption of Rudd’s name for his company as his middle name and his mother’s middle name during an interview he gave to Good Morning America on June 15.
