Sesame Street The latest vaccine offer comes after US approvals of Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines for children under five. DeSantis management was among those who expressed concern about a six-month vaccine. As a result, it’s not recommended in Florida, but parents can still get the vaccine through their doctor.
“I’m going to watch people look at real data from clinical trials,” DeSantis said at a press conference last week.
“This is the weakest data you can see – very few people. What they recommend is not even monitoring results,” he said, urging parents to “ask their pediatrician, they can ask their doctor, what is the evidence for prevention from serious illness.”
“None of the clinical studies. … But for us … there is no proven benefit for a child with mRNA,” he said. “So our advice is against it.”
“This is different from the Florida ban, which we are not authorized to do. And to be honest, you know, we’re confident that people can make their own decisions,” he added.
Specifically, a recent poll on YouGov/CBS News found Only 37 percent of Americans believe a coronavirus outbreak should be a “high priority,” given the greater focus on inflation and the economy.
