Rob Reiner has made many wild and unfounded claims on Twitter. On Friday, he outdid himself by saying that Joe Biden was the best president in nearly 60 years.
The result was widespread ridicule, with the term “Meat Head” popping up on Twitter late Friday. (“Meathead” refers to the silly character played by Reiner in the sitcom. All family members).
Reiner, who was one of Biden’s biggest fundraisers in Hollywood during the 2020 election, voiced his opinion, conceding that it went against the prevailing public sentiment. According to Breitbart News, a recent Yahoo News/YouGov poll found that only one in five Americans wants Biden to run for reelection in 2024.
“To hell with politics. Fuck polls,” Reiner tweeted on Friday. “Joe Biden has an unprecedented record of success in the first two years of his presidency, nearly 60 years.”
Reiner estimates that Biden has spent more than any president since Lyndon Johnson.

In recent weeks, Reiner has been one of the loudest cheerleaders in Hollywood for the show’s January 6 test, sparking enthusiasm for the ratings-strengthened broadcasts and beheading former President Donald Trump at nearly every opportunity.
The actor-director is one of many celebrities who helped spread discredited allegations that former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson physically assaulted two Secret Service agents to get behind the wheel of a presidential car by former President Trump on January 6, 2021.
