Awakened internet trolls attacked Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney for photos of family members wearing “MAGA-style hats” at her mother’s 60th birthday party.
On Saturday, Sweeney, best known for her role as Cassie Howard on HBO, said: euphoriaposted on Instagram photos dedicated to the 60th anniversary of her mother.

Is it his fault? Some of his family members in Idaho appeared to be wearing extreme clothing, including hats and “Blue Lives Matter” t-shirts parodying Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. According to TMZ:
In one of the photos released by the SS, she is next to three other adults (one of them her mother, the blonde one), her grandmother look-alike… and an elderly gentleman. We’re not entirely sure who it is, but it could be a relative.
People are very focused on this man’s tee, which looks like a Blue Lives Matter t-shirt symbolized by a black and white flag and a blue stripe in the middle.
Other photos and videos show the members wearing red MAGA-style hats with “Make Sixty Great Again” written on the front. His brother,, posted them, and be sure to note that this is exactly what they said. However, the fact that these have never been worn draws criticism.
With no evidence other than a few (completely apolitical) photos, Sweeney’s name went viral on social media, and the backlash – typical of the online extreme left – was outrage. The actress later responded to the controversy, saying that her photos were not intended to convey any political message.
“Guys, this is crazy. My mom’s innocent 60th birthday celebration accidentally turned into an absurd political statement. Please stop making assumptions. Love everyone and happy birthday mom! she wrote.

Several prominent social media figures jumped in to defend the actress, asking her not to bow in front of the crowd while apologizing.
Expensive @sydney_sweeneyNever apologize for your family’s own views/thoughts. If someone wants to do things like support the police or use common sense to vote, we have to go back to a world where we should be allowed to do so. The world is divided.

I can guarantee you that if you showed someone in the real world a photo of Sidney Sweeney at that party, their first reaction would not be on Instagram Live to ask for the three cousins to be killed.

You should have saved this tweet. Say hi to your family, not Twitter

He’s obsessed with absolute psychos who tear up their faces because they have members of Sidney Sweeney’s Republican family.

There are people in my family who view politics differently than I do.
People act like you should cut out anyone who sees the world differently than you do.
I think this is really a problem.— Johnny Gilbert (@JohnnieGuilbert) 28 August 2022
