Alto Minho Literary Meetings return in October with 11 writers

The Alto Minho Literary Meetings will return on October 20, 21, 27, 28 and 29, with “stages” in five municipalities that will bring together a total of 11 writers, the organization announced.

In a statement, the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho says that the bet “goes again through multi-format programming, to promote the participation and integration of audiences with functional diversity.”

Under the motto “The words that unite us”, the meetings will take place in the municipal libraries of Melgaço, Ponte da Barca, Viana do Castelo, Monção and Paredes de Coura.

The writers Ana Ventura and Nuno Camarneiro (Melgaço), António Mota and José Pedro Leite (Ponte da Barca), José Mário Silva and Rita Taborda Duarte (Viana do Castelo), Olinda Beja and Carlos Quiroga (Monção) and Filipe Homem Fonseca will be present . , João Morales and Adolfo Luxúria Canibal (Paredes de Coura).

In the sessions, which will be led by João Morales, content will be made available for people with visual or hearing disabilities, such as the program in braille and simultaneous translation in sign language.

The meetings will also be attended by five bookstores, with the aim of publicizing and promoting the books of guest writers.
