Scientists have succeeded in translating chimpanzee language

Chimpanzees, which are among the most intelligent creatures to live after humans, use a very complex way to communicate with each other. Scientists who have been working on this language for a while have finally succeeded in translating it.

According to a study published in the famous journal Nature, chimpanzees communicate using syntactic structures by adding specific words to sentences that correspond to different human words.

The study focused on the reactions of a group of chimpanzees to events that occurred between them. According to this, chimpanzees, seeing snakes and similar creatures, warned their fellows by making some schematic sounds.

To test the data, the scientists showed chimpanzees a presentation with a snake inside and found that the chimpanzees made “alarm-huus” and “waa-bark” sounds towards snakes.

According to scientists, these sounds are not accidental. Chimpanzees use language among themselves. It has been determined that some sounds mean “come quickly”, “danger/surprise”.

While this is the first time a clear translation has been made for chimpanzee language, the findings are expected to provide important insights into the evolution of human language.
