Most voters say they trust their governors and state legislatures, not the federal government, when it comes to abortion laws, according to a poll by the States Convention Action/Trafalgar Group released Thursday.
Questionnaire he asked participants they trust most to make decisions about abortion laws. The survey offers three options: federal courts, federal government, governor, and state legislature.
The majority, 41.4 percent, said they trust the decision to be taken by the state legislature and the governor at the state level. Less than one-fifth, 18.1 percent, said the decision should be made by the federal government, while 7.4 percent said it should be taken by federal courts.
However, a third percentage, 33.1 percent, remains uncertain.
