State of the Nation debate scheduled for July 21

The Leaders’ Conference marked for July 21 the debate on the State of the Nation, which closes the legislative session in the Assembly of the Republic. Parliamentary work ends a week later, returning on September 6. Even before the recess, the Prime Minister will go to Parliament for a general policy debate.

The first presence of António Costa in the Assembly of the Republic for a general political debate was scheduled for June 22nd — nearly three months after the executive took office. With the approval process of the General State Budgets, the pending work in Parliament was interrupted and is now being resumed.

On June 22, António Costa will be present not only for the general policy debate, but also to prepare for the European Council.

Until the end of the first legislative session, the parties and the government will still schedule the discussion and vote on numerous bills.

In this resumption of work after the approval of the budget, the Assembly of the Republic will debate the refugee reception process, the metadata law and euthanasia.
