The more American voters see President Joe Biden, the more they dislike him or his ability to contain rising gas prices, high inflation, and a potential recession on the horizon.
That’s a takeaway from a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Wednesday, showing Biden’s public approval rating dropped to 36 percent for the fourth week in a row, the lowest ever seen at Mayo’s end.
The president’s approval rating has remained low at 50 percent since August as the Democratic Party faces the prospect of losing at least one home to the US Congress in November. 8 by-elections.
The survey also revealed the main concerns of the voters.
Thirty-four percent of Americans say the economy is the most important problem facing the country right now, as inflation hit a 40-year high under this administration.

Biden’s approval rating has barely changed since last week, from 74 percent on June 15 to 73 percent in his own party. In August, 85 percent of Democrats approved of Biden’s speech.
Republican supporters have a different story.
The 79-year-old politician’s rating dropped to seven percent from 11 percent among Republican Party supporters on June 15. Only 18 percent of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction.
Despite his many problems at home, the president seeks to remain visible on the world stage and to use this as an opportunity for salvation for the electorate at home, while continuing to be marked by literal and figurative barriers.

Biden will arrive in Germany on Saturday for the G7 summit of major Western powers, followed by a NATO military alliance summit in Madrid next week.
Both sessions will take place in the shadow of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ever-growing problem of preventing China’s expansion into the disputed Indo-Pacific region.
The Reuters/Ipsos survey was conducted online in the US in English. The most recent poll included 1,002 adults, including 435 Democrats and 379 Republicans. It has a four-point confidence interval (a measure of accuracy).
