The strike of air traffic controllers in France over the weekend could cause delays in flights to and from Portugal, an official NAV source told Lusa, stressing that the severity of the impact will depend on the level of adherence to the protest.
As explained by an official source from NAV Portugal, which controls air traffic at the country’s main airports, Air traffic controller strike causes delays around the worldwithout exception of flights to and from the national territory.
Nevertheless, the impact will depend on the level of adherence of the workersthe NAV explained.
The strike was called by the National Union of Autonomous Trade Unions (UNSA/ICNA), for the 25th and 26th.and the French General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) foresees “significant delays” in some airlines that use the airspace covered by the Aix en Provence route control center, which is the one affected by the strike.
