‘Betrayal’: Sports elites sue the Supreme Court in Roe v. wade

From players to members of the media and sports leagues, the world of sports began to weigh in on the US Supreme Court decision.

Just minutes after the US Supreme Court decision that changed the nearly 50-year-old abortion precedent set by NBA star LeBron James, he began retweeting pre-written tweets from former President Barack Obama denouncing the decision.

But James wasn’t the only athlete talking.

The Women’s National Basketball Association called the decision “treacherous”. And then the public comments on the tweet were immediately shut down.

New York City’s Gotham Football Club also entered the debate to “appeal” the Supreme Court decision:

There will definitely be new ones in the hours and days after this grave Supreme Court decision. But he was one of the first commentators.
