António Costa argued that Pedro Nuno Santos “did not act in bad faith” and that he “had humility”, and the issue is “out of date”.
Rui Rio, still president of the PSD, stresses that the government is “in a ridiculous situation” and that the fact that António Costa has not fired Pedro Nuno denotes “lack of courage on the part of the prime minister to fire the minister.” “One comes to apologize and the other is very happy and the matter was quickly resolved,” says the PSD leader.
