More than for practical purposes, an initiative to brand position. That will be the object of the motion of censure against the Government presented by Chega, whose fate, less than 24 hours before being debated in Parliament, is already known: The Lead, since the PS has the majority of deputies. The intention of André Ventura’s party, however, would be none other than what he has already achieved: to force the contending parties for the right to define themselves —and, thus, sentence from the outset that Luís Montenegro will be nothing more than a Rui Rio 2.0 at the helm of the PSD.

The intention was made clear in the statements of André Ventura himself, who this Tuesday was expectant about the position that the PSD, now in the era of Montenegro -which promises a sharper opposition than that of its predecessor, Rui Rio-, would take. . A few hours later, and after the first meeting of the Permanent Commission (the most restricted core of the leadership) of Montenegro, the PSD laconically confirmed, in a note sent to the press: “It is reported that the PSD caucus will refrain in the vote on the motion of censure that will be debated this Wednesday”.
