DEA Administrator Ann Milgram said Friday in the American Newsroom on Fox News that Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel and Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel (CJNG) “actually work openly in Mexico” and “poison Americans with fentanyl at record rates.” and i met Milgram also said Mexico knew this was happening and “must work to stop it”.
“I think there are two things that are really important to me: first, everybody understands what we see every day in the DEA, these two Mexican drug cartels, Sinaloa and the CJNG, poisoning Americans very quickly. We lost 107,622 Americans last year. These two cartels. is primarily responsible for fentanyl and methamphetamine that has flooded the United States and is killing people.The second part about Sinaloa and CJNG is that these two cartels originally came from China and that’s where they buy these chemicals, which they now use to manufacture fentanyl and methamphetamine. Not herbal products. This is a more bizarre and deadly drug threat than we’ve seen in our country. These two cartels operate all over Mexico. 15 of Mexico’s 32 states participated, CJNG joined in 23 of these 32 states. Mexico in general They are also openly working to extract these chemicals and synthesize fentanyl and methamphetamine.”
Host Bill Hemmer asks, “Are they cooperating with the Mexican government?” She asked.
Milgram said, “One of the things I want to say about drug trafficking – and I’m going to talk to the whole world – because one of the critical things for me is that we attack this whole network from China. And then these cartels spread to Mexico and then to the United States. Into the drug trade around the world. We know that there are two things that contribute: First, illegal financing, money. And money flows, when we talk about chemical flows, China has a huge money laundering system that we’re seeing underground. Second, there’s political corruption around the world. It’s like oxygen. It’s oxygen for the drug trade. You see the case we brought against the former president of Honduras earlier this year… Wherever we see the corruption that facilitates drug trafficking, the DEA will take action.”
“The chemicals came from China. They are made in Mexico. And they’ve done it openly all over the country. And just to underline, we seized 20 million counterfeit pills and 15,000 pounds of fentanyl last year. That’s the 440 million potentially lethal dose of fentanyl we took last year. We have seized more than 20 million counterfeit pills so far this year. So we generally know that most of them came from Mexico and we know that they will be synthesized in the open. So Mexico, they know it’s happening, we know it’s happening, and they have to work to stop it.
