Republican People’s Leadership Committee Launches First Spanish-Language Advertising in Battlefield States

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) has released its first Spanish-language ad on digital platforms in five war-fighting states, powered by a five-digit flow of purchases.

RSLC ads will run in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada and Texas. The committee sees all of these goals as “opportunities for change,” or protecting Republican majorities in state legislatures.

According to the English text of the announcement, the announcer said in Spanish, “The Democrats don’t take us seriously.”

The ad then shows a clip of First Lady Jill Biden cutting the phrase “si se puede”.

The narrator urged Democrats to “pimp up” and pursue policies that “make it difficult for all Americans to thrive.”

The narrator continued:

They underestimate us. Democrats are good at fawning, but not at governing. And their policies hinder the development of all Americans. Good jobs, affordable gas and groceries, good education. These do not happen in the Democratic party leadership. Republicans believe that success depends on the freedom to thrive because it really is, and Republican politics will motivate us.

In a statement following the release of the announcement, RSLC Chairman Dee Duncan criticized Democrats for thinking they “deserve the automatic loyalty of Hispanic voters at the polls, no matter how much their disruptive agenda hurts the country.”

“Spanish voters want well-paying jobs, affordable goods, safe communities and quality education for their children, and the RSLC will continue to use innovative outreach tactics by voters like this to remind them that this is all a product of Republican state leadership.” Duncan continued.

The RSLC’s first Spanish-language ad came after the committee successfully supported Republican John Luhan in a coup in the Hispanic-majority Texas District 118 in the November 2021 special election.

In response, the Congressional Democratic Campaign Committee (DCCC) ran a pair of inappropriately-targeted Hispanic ads that portrayed Republicans as “extremists” who “work only for the rich.”

Also, the DCCC acknowledged in one of the announcements that Democrats are “out of touch” with voters.

According to recent elections and recent polls, Democrats are losing control of Latino voters.

For example, the Republican Republican recently lost. Myra Flores (D-Texas) won the historic blue seat among the Republicans in the special election last month.

Also, a recent Quinnipiac poll showed that only 19 percent of Hispanics approve of President Joe Biden’s job performance. The poll also showed that more Hispanics preferred Republicans to control both houses of Congress more than Democrats.

The Quinnipiac poll comes a week after First Lady Biden said the Hispanic community was “as weird as breakfast tacos in San Antonio.”
