On Fox News’ “Fox & Friends First” on Friday, Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-WI) said the Inflation Reduction Act, a compromise deal announced by Congress, would increase inflation, but Democrats said, “Well, that’s it. “It’s worth it because it’s being held up as an environmental protection and it’s doing better when it comes to the environment.”
Fitzgerald said, [relevant remarks begin around 00:55] “Schumer and Manchin made a deal to inject more money into the economy. And it just keeps coming back. We will see inflation rise. Then, they will say, everything is better, because under the cover of the environment and when it comes to the environment. Again, something Americans won’t feel. And I think it will show itself in November when people go to the polls. I mean, I think the Democrats will be responsible for what’s going on right now.”
