“Yesterday, smugglers left a baby and toddler to die in the Sonoran desert,” said Chief Maudlin. “This is cruelty. And heartbreaking.”
The agents found the children in the Sonoran Desert after they were abandoned by smugglers. Maudlin reported that the children were four months old and 18 months old.
The industry chief said the baby was unresponsive when the agents arrived. Agents provided emergency medical attention and resuscitated the girl.
The disrespect of the smugglers cannot be underestimated,” he said.
The rescue of two abandoned babies came minutes after three children drowned in Rio Grande, Texas, according to Breitbart Texas. A baby and a five-year-old drowned at border crossings in Eagle Pass and El Paso on Monday.

The three-month-old brother of the little boy who lost his life in the Eagle Pass incident died days later. The parents of all three children survived the changes.
Fernando Garcia, founder and CEO of Border Network for Human Rights, said the drownings in El Paso followed the drowning of 20 more immigrants in June and July in El Paso alone. New York Post reported.
What you don’t see is the rage in America – why do children have to die?” Garcia told the newspaper.
Arizona Border Patrol officials did not provide any information about the nationality or parents of the two abandoned babies.
