Aid of 125 euros each month and tax-free holidays. Enough Proposals for OE

Charge yourself with tax measures to prevent family income from being devoured by inflation and by the tax burden itself. This is the recipe that Chega proposes for the next State Budgets, days before the first government proposal is known (which will be delivered on Monday).

At a press conference in Parliament, André Ventura highlighted what will be the party’s flagship measure: the non-imposition of vacation and Christmas subsidies next year. This measure, he guaranteed, will have a real effect on household savings, preventing it from being swallowed up by rising prices and fiscal pressure.

For Ventura, the effects will be even better than a change in the IRS, due to the faster impact, “the IRS will only come into force after many months”, in addition to the fact that the budgetary impact of this measure will be less, he emphasized. Despite not yet having the numbers of the macroeconomic scenario that the Government will present to the parties only this Friday, the leader of Chega guaranteed that the impact will be 25% in relation to what the State has collected thanks to inflation.

Even so, the party also proposes that the IRS scales be updated, having not yet advanced with concrete figures.

Considerable repercussion should have a measure that Ventura only mentioned later, in response to a journalist: Chega will also want to extend the single support of 125 euros that will be granted to the population this month to the entire year 2023. one month, but that they be extended to the whole year”, he said, already in the question and answer phase.

Among the “more than 300″ proposals, and continuing on the tax side, there is also a change in the IRS to increase the maximum limit of expenses that families can deduct, a way to accommodate the proposal that, says Ventura, ” circulates in the political environment” that the Executive will want to adopt, allowing greater deductions of housing expenses in the IRS.

Given the difficulties of the current economic framework, Ventura also explained that the party had to adapt its proposal to reduce all tolls to a temporary reduction only in some, especially in the Algarve and the interior.

“Fiscal measures seem to be fundamental in this OE,” he stressed, because they can prevent the effect of inflation from being “devastating.” He ended up briefly citing other measures, such as a higher IRS reduction for those with young children, as an example, but without going into them in depth and promising more details when the government’s economic forecasts for next year are known.
