Pedro Santana Lopes believes that, following the “measuring rod” of former President Jorge Sampaio —who dissolved the Assembly of the Republic when the current mayor was prime minister of the PSD—, with the current crisis of the socialist government, the conditions would be met for Parliament dissolve equally. The former president of the PSD considers that the Government is “politically affected, everything”, with the departure of the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Pedro Nuno Santos, which he does not believe has happened with the case of Miguel Alves [secretário de Estado investigado na Operação Teia], for example. Given the current scenario, the former prime minister admits that Costa should resign from the government and form a new one.
