An incidental Saturday afternoon match between the Yankees and the White Sox turned quite hot after a home plate dispute resulted in racial slurs accusations.
The trouble began when Yankees forward Josh Donaldson and White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal collided at home. Banks emptied when players from both teams rushed onto the field, got into an argument or tried to break it. Against the background of the scandal, the coaches and players had to remove the White Sox second baseman Tim Anderson from the field.
When asked about the incident after the match, Anderson said Donaldson made an disrespectful comment to him.

Why did Donaldson call Anderson “Jackie”? According to Donaldson, Anderson gave it that name because he called himself that.

Anderson referred to himself as the “new Jackie Robinson” in the magazine’s 2019 issue. sports photos. However, despite Donaldson apologizing for calling Anderson “Jackie”, Anderson insisted the comment was inappropriate and said he was personally angry with her.

Learning that his manager had described the comments as racist, Anderson said he agreed.
“Same. Same. Same line,” Anderson said.
According to ESPN, MLB is investigating the case.
The Yankees won the game 7-5.
