Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne made his appearance after winning the Premier League after beating Aston Villa 3-2 in the final round of the tournament.

During a press interview after the coronation, De Bruyne said, “We play to win the title and we came late with the result and we tried to come back and that’s what happened.”

He added: “Aston Villa changed after scoring the second goal and before that we had a lot of chances.”

He continued: “Between the halves of the match, we knew that the result of Liverpool was 1-1. Despite that, we tried to change the result, we tried not to look at Liverpool’s result and we managed to change the result.”

And he added: “We felt fear, and this is normal, and tried to calm down as much as possible, and when the difference was reduced to (2:1), the situation completely changed for me … the atmosphere and the players changed, and after that we did not look back.”

He concluded: “Liverpool are always pushing us forward and we are very proud of that and we are still finding a way to win.”
