Indiana lawmakers override governor’s veto to pass law banning men from women’s sports

On Tuesday, GOP lawmakers in Indiana, Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) and passed a law banning male athletes identified as women from participating in women’s sports.

Indiana joins at least a dozen other US states that have passed similar laws.

“We don’t want to sue the state of Indiana, but it happens from time to time,” Bray said. “This is a policy that I think we can support.”

Eric Holcomb of Indiana now joins Utah’s Spencer Cox with GOP governors who oppose their party’s overwhelming sensitivity to protect women’s sports, which only Republican senators and state representatives have dismissed without forgetting their base.
