Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick believes national anthem protester Colin Kaepernick still started quarterback material despite not playing in six years.
Convicted on dog-fighting charges in 2007 and forced to halt his NFL career while serving a 23-month sentence, Vic retired in 2016 to try to become a sports broadcaster and has some ideas for Kaepernick.
Despite not playing a minute of professional football in six years, Vick thinks Kaepernick is a candidate for the starting position.
“I think that will happen when the time comes,” Vic said of Kaepernick, according to Outkick.
“He’s been out of the league for a few years and hasn’t played for a while, so it probably makes sense to come and play that role for two or three years in his place. And when you get a chance to start, you show you know how to play. You’ve won a number of games. You’ve won five or six games.”

Known more for his protest actions in the United States than for playing football, Kaepernick recently trained with the Las Vegas Raiders and is “doing well”, according to insider information.
Kaepernick has repeatedly said he wants to return to the league. And the NFL found a way to give him a chance to prove he could still play. Despite the league’s generous offer to get his career back, he turned down the league’s offer to train in front of team representatives and instead organized his own training session attended by several team representatives.
Kaepernick seems more interested in protecting the soapbox where he can pursue his police and anti-American agenda than playing football.
