Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman said on Saturday he was “disappointed” with the PGA Tour by golfers banned from the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series.
Explaining his decision to take the lead in creating the league, Norman said the PGA’s “role-playing” was “deafening”.
“[G]olf is a force for good,” Norman tells Fox News’ One Nation. “And to be honest with you, what I saw in Saudi Arabia on the PGA European Tour in 2019 was Saudi International, a golf tournament that still exists from 2019. And on this Saudi International Tour, there are PGA Tour players out there. “I was given the right to play and was denied. So to me, if golf is good for the world, if golf is good for Saudi Arabia, and you see domestic growth, that’s very impressive.”

Norman was asked about the negative reaction of the LIV tour.
“[L]Okay, to be honest, I’m disappointed that people chose this path – he replied. “Listen, if they want to look through a lens, then why does the PGA Tour have 23 sponsors with $40+ billion in business in Saudi Arabia? Why is this normal for sponsors?”
