The group stage of the Arab Futsal Cup organized by the Arab Football Association, which will be held in Dammam until June 28, has come to a close.
Eight teams were determined to reach the quarterfinals: Morocco, Kuwait, Mauritania, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Libya.
At the end of the group stage, the Moroccan team beat Mauritania 13-0 and the Kuwait team beat Somalia 9-2 to finish first in Group A with 9 points, followed by the Kuwait team with 6 points, then Mauritania with 3 points , then the Somali national team took fourth place without offset.
In the second group, Egypt beat Algeria 2-0 to move up to 4 points at the top of the standings, followed by Iraq with the same balance and then Algeria without points.
In Group 3, Saudi Arabia beat Libya 5-3 in the group stage and topped their group standings, followed by Palestine and Libya with 3 points each.
The quarter-final matches will take place next Friday, in which Morocco will play their Libyan counterpart, Saudi Arabia will play their Iraqi counterpart, Kuwait will play Palestine, and Egypt will play Mauritania.
