German football legend Lothar Matthäus believes Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski will eventually be sold to Barcelona.
German press reports indicate that Bayern will change their stance on Lewandowski if an offer comes in close to 60 million euros, although with the striker 33 years old and one year left on his contract, the club could agree to drop to 50 million. Euro.
Barcelona are currently the favorites to sign the Pole, but the Camp Nou board is still a long way from Bayern’s asking price, having made two offers worth €32m and €35m with an additional €5m in bonuses.
But Matthäus believes Bayern Munich will change their mind if their financial demands are met.
“There will come a time when the stakes are high enough, even for Bayern Munich, and Oliver Kahn won’t remember what he said a few months ago.”
