The Lebanese Athletics Federation will host the second West Asian Youth Championships between 3 and 6 July 2022 at the Al Jamhour Club Stadium under the auspices of President Michel Aoun which will officially open at 4:00 pm on Sunday 3 July at the Al Jamhour Club .

Ten countries will take part in the tournament, namely the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Lebanon.

The Cedars national team set their sights on fighting for first place in the overall medal standings and reaching the summer of 2019 when Lebanon took first place in the first edition of the tournament.
