The 2022 AFC Cup group stage competition ended with the completion of the ASEAN, Central and Eastern regions group matches.

Four clubs advanced to the semi-finals of the ASEAN region, while two qualifying clubs were determined to the semi-finals of the middle zone, and the eastern one from Hong Kong advanced to the semi-finals of the zones.

In May, four places were determined in the semi-finals of the West Asia region and included the clubs of Kuwaiti Al Arabi, Sib of Oman, East Riff of Bahrain and Riff of Bahrain, as well as a team that qualified from the South region. Indian Mohun Bagan, who is the leader in the ranking of the fourth group, got into the semi-finals of the regions.

In the semi-finals, Al-Arabi Al-Kuwaiti will meet with Al-Sib from Oman, and the Bahraini from East Riff will meet with his compatriot Al-Riffa.

In the ASEAN region, Vietnamese club Vettel booked a spot in the semi-finals of the region, topping the ninth group with full marks, defeating Hogan United in the third and final round of Singapore 5-2.

In Group H, Makassar of Indonesia qualified as the group champion and was accompanied to the ASEAN semi-finals by Malaysian club Kuala Lumpur, who qualified as the top runner-up team.

In Group G, Malaysian club Kedah Dar Al Aman led the club to beat Vesaka of Cambodia 5-1 in the third and final round, advancing on goal difference in head-to-head matches against Indonesian Bali United and Vesaka.

In the semi-finals of the ASEAN region, Kedah meets with Makassar, and Vettel – with Kuala Lumpur.

In the Central Asian region, Uzbek Sogdiana topped the Group E standings after beating Al-Tin Aser Turkmen 3-1 in the third round, extending their tally to 9 total points in three matches.

On the other hand, Tajik Khujand topped Group F after a 0-0 draw with Dorda from Kyrgyzstan, increasing their score to 4 points in two matches.

In the midfield final there will be a confrontation between Sogdiana and Khujand to determine the team that has passed to the semi-finals of the regions.

In the East Asia region, the eastern club from Hong Kong finished top of the tenth group after defeating Tainan City from Chinese Taipei 3-1 and increased their lead to 6 points in two matches.
