Spanish newspaper El Confidencial has discovered new audio leaks between Spanish federation president Luis Rubiales and former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

This conversation dates back to January 20, 2019, after Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Leganes in La Liga and there was controversy over Barça’s second goal.

Ramos sent a message to Rubiales: “Ruby, we are already concerned about the VAR issue, especially with Barcelona.

He continued, “It is a real shame and rudeness what the judges do. Did you see Suarez’s mistake against the goalkeeper in the second goal today? It’s a joke”.

Rubiales replied the next day by saying: “Good evening Sergio, you are the captain of the national team, you have played hundreds or thousands of matches, you know better than anyone that sometimes there are different opinions, you know that I do not go into these matters, we we are working on improving the efficiency of refereeing, hugs and see you soon.”

Laird Ramos: “Politically this is very correct, I was hoping for a personal opinion, this is a scandal, and they are on their way to the coronation of the League, I understand your position, a big hug.”
