French football champion Paris Saint-Germain has signed Porto midfielder Vitor Ferreira, known as Vitenia, as part of the Paris club’s first contract in the new season. The media estimated the value of the deal with the 22-year-old footballer at approximately 40 million euros (42 million dollars) over five years.

“I finished my best season in Porto, won trophies and managed to become an international player and that was my dream,” the newcomer told the Paris club’s website. “I want to keep improving, I want to do it here and continue to win titles,” he added, describing himself as “technical” and “offensively focused.”
Vitor Machado Ferreira ‘Vitina’, one of the sons of Porto’s formative center, was loaned to Wolverhampton Wolves in the 2020-2021 season, where he played 22 games. He returned to the Dragon team last season and established himself in the middle, where he made 47 appearances, scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists.
Under coach Sergio Conceicao, he won a double in the League Cup in Portugal, which opened the door for him on the team in March to play 3 international matches.
