In the third round of Group A of the Asian Basketball Championship, Australia defeated Indonesia 78–53 to regain the lead over Jordan.
With this win, Australia raised their score in the first group to 6 points, compared to 5 points for Jordan and 4 points for Indonesia.
Returning to the atmosphere of the match, the beginning of the first quarter was close between the two teams, despite the slight superiority of the Indonesian team, which ended the quarter in their favor, 16-11, but the Australian team played strongly in the second quarter and increased the difference by the end of the first half to 10 points with the score 34-24.
After the break in the first half, the Australian team continued to dominate the atmosphere of the meeting, despite the return of the Indonesian team, but this was not enough to close the gap, finishing the third quarter with a score of 57-42.
Australia dominated the fourth quarter, taking advantage of Indonesia’s declining performance to secure an important 78-53 win.
