‘Soon’: Boxer Mike Tyson thinks he’s about to die

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson says he literally felt the end was near when he told fans he was about to die.

The heavyweight champion touched on the subject in his podcast. when he told traumatologist Sean McFarland that he felt “really close” to death.

“Of course we’re all going to die one day,” Tyson insisted. “Then when I look in the mirror and see these little dots on my face, I’m like, ‘Wow. That means my expiration date is coming soon.”

He went on to say that the fame and fortune is not as much as many think.

“Money doesn’t mean shit to me,” Tyson added. “I always tell people they think money will make them happy, they’ve never had money before. When you have a lot of money, you can’t expect anyone to love you. How can I confess my love to you if you have 500 billion dollars?

“It’s a false sense of security,” Tyson explains. “You believe that nothing will happen. You don’t believe that banks can fail. You believe that you are invincible when you have a lot of money, but that’s not true. That’s why I always say money is a false sense of security.”

He also said that when you have all the money, you realize that the idea that money means “salvation” is futile.

“When you deposit money in your bank and get a check every week and you can live the rest of your life, is that safe? Does this mean you can’t get sick? Can’t the car crash? Can’t you jump off the bridge? I do not know. Is it security? Can money save you from this?” said.
