In the week from July 25 to 31, the average prices at gas stations were 0.1 cents below the weekly average price determined by the ERSE and 1.2 cents above diesel.
According to information from the Weekly Sale Price Supervision Report, published this Monday by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), “in relation to the previous week, it was found that the average of the Public Sale Prices announced in the porticoes, and reported in the Balcão Único da Energia, was 0.1 cent/l [cêntimos/litro] below the Efficient Price of this week in the case of simple gasoline 95 and 1.2 cents/l higher in the case of simple diesel”.
Thus, according to the ERSE, “in percentage terms, the 95 simple gasoline was advertised on the portals 0.1% below the Efficient Price and simple diesel was advertised 0.6% above the Efficient Price”.
The efficient price “is an average weekly price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in the international markets of reference and the respective maritime freight, primary logistics, including in this part the strategic reserves and of security of the National Oil System, the cost overruns with the incorporation of biofuels and the retail component plus the respective taxes”, according to the regulator.
ERSE highlighted that “even compared to the previous week”, with regard to the reduced prices, which are the average prices published by the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), “simple gasoline 95 presented a deviation of – 3.4% with respect to the Efficient Price and simple diesel -3.7%”, and “in absolute terms, these estimates are, for simple gasoline 95 at -6.6 cents/l, and for simple diesel at -6.8 cents/l below the respective Efficient Prices”.
According to ERSE, for this week (from August 1 to 7), “the Efficient Price before taxes is 1,123 Euros/l[euros/litro] for simple gasoline 95 and 1,223 euros/l for simple diesel”, and “after taxes, the Efficient Price stands at 1,943 Euro/l and 1,913 Euro/l, for simple gasoline 95 and for simple diesel, respectively”.
