Portuguese coach Nuno Almeida confirmed that his team played a tactical match at the highest level against his colleague from Al Ahly.
His comments came after the end of the match between the two teams in the 27th round of the Egyptian League, which ended in a goalless draw.
Almeida noted that his team faced a great opponent, was very well organized and managed to keep up with him to the end.
He added that the match was difficult and Al Ahli tried to break through to score a goal, but the constant pressure of his players and their total concentration prevented them from achieving it.
He stressed that the match had become more difficult after his team’s elimination, expressing his satisfaction with the performance of his players, especially as Farko is enjoying his first season in the Premier League.
He concluded that his team controlled the game against Zamalek and the Pyramids, and they did the same against Al Ahly, indicating the amount of effort they put into putting their best foot forward.
