The American cyclist Scott McGill (Wildlife Generatio Pro Cycling) added this Thursday his second victory in the Volta a Portugal, by winning the sixth stage, with the Portuguese Frederico Figueiredo (Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor) maintaining the lead.
In the pique finish in Maia, 159.9 kilometers after leaving Águeda, McGill was imposed in 3:48.18 hourswith the same time of the Portuguese João Matias (Tavfer-Mortágua-Ovos Matinados) and Antonio Carvalho (Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor), second and third, respectively.
In general, Frederico Figueiredo has seven seconds ahead on the Uruguayan Mauricio Moreira (Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor) and 38 on Luís Fernandes (Rádio Popular-Paredes-Boavista).
On Friday, the seventh stage joins Santo Tirso and Braga, in a route of 150.1 kilometers, with a mountainous count of second less than 10 kilometers from the finish line.
