The Arab Football Association ignored the response to the complaint of the Egyptian federation against the Lebanese referee Maher Al-Ali, who led the match between Egypt and Morocco in the quarter-finals of the Arab Junior Cup.

The delegation of the Egyptian youth team filed a formal complaint with the Arab Football Association and the Arab Cup Organizing Committee regarding the decision to choose a Lebanese referee to manage the match due to his sensitivity, especially since the Egyptian team defeated Lebanon with nine clean goals in the first round, so the organizing committee and the refereeing committee of the Arab Union had to take this team into account.

The complaint also included the Lebanese referee’s prejudice against the Egyptian internationals in many decisions before he overlooked the correct penalty after the Moroccan player blocked a shot by Egypt international Omar Hader in the penalty area.

Egypt’s youth team said goodbye to the Arab Under-17 Cup held in Oran, Algeria by beating Morocco with a double unanswered match.
