A group of girls were perfectly positioned and ready to chase a ball from a Major League Baseball player when a “big guy” suddenly slipped his glove in his path and stole the ball on Thursday night.
The embarrassing incident took place in Washington DC’s National Park, where the peanuts met in freshman year. Between hits, Nationals outfielder Joey Meneses threw the ball to the girls – and nothing else – only to be picked by one guy. The mother of one of the girls was not happy with what had happened. He tweeted after the incident: “An old man stole a baseball from a girl.”
