The first vice-president of the Asian Confederation, the president of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Akram Halabi, and the president of Saint Joseph University (Beirut), father Salim Dakkache, signed a cooperation agreement for a period of 3 years, during which the said university carries out through its Department of Physiotherapy Statistics on injuries sustained by male players and female during exercises and matches in all Lebanese championships for all ranks (men and women).
The signing of the agreement took place during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the university, in the presence of Chalabi and Dakkache, Secretary General of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Lawyer Charbel Michel Rizk, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy of the University, Dr. Dr. Khalil Nassar and a number of university officials.
This unique step comes as part of increased scientific research into injuries on basketball courts.
Halabi and Dakkash expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation between the Basketball Association and St. Joseph University.
