According to press reports, the Bolivian Football Association has opened an investigation into Al Ahly’s new striker Bruno Savio for assaulting a local league match referee.

Savio joined Al Ahly Bolivar with a net worth of $1.5 million, but the player will miss 3 matches due to an elimination in the team’s match against Always Reddy, as well as an attack on the match referee Jade Flores.

The Bolivian Football Association informed Bolívar’s club of an investigation to inform Savio to be present if he wanted to defend himself.

“We have sent a note to the Disciplinary Committee of the Federation,” said Bolivar Vice President Jorge del Solar of the Bolivian radio station Bolivar 24/7.

He added: “As of September 9, Savio is no longer associated with us. The Disciplinary Committee has written to us to inform Savio of the investigations. They should inform his new club.”

He concluded: “He moved to Al-Ahli, so we have nothing to do with this case.”
